Daily News Your Choice 2023 Official Rules

1. Only 1 (one) entry per person allowed - duplicate entries will be not be counted.
2. To qualify for the Grand Prize Draw, readers must submit entries in both Ballots 1 and 2.
3. No purchase necessary.
4. For your vote to be counted, you must vote on a minimum of 15 categories in each ballot.  In addition, you must confirm your votes by verifying the email sent to the email address you provide.
5. Independent Newspapers (Pty) Ltd ("The Sponsor") reserves the right to verify all entries and to eliminate any category for any reason.
6. Ballots suspected of “orchestrated” completion will not be counted.
7. The Sponsor reserves the right to publish the results of the reader survey, delete questions, or restructure, and to refuse questionable or duplicate entries.
8. The use of any automated system to submit entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification of all such entries as well as the Entrant.  This includes the use of temporary, disposable email address services.
9. Voting in both ballots closes at midnight on 27 August 2023. The Sponsor reserves the right to amend this closing date at its own discretion.
10. Employees of The Sponsor and their immediate family members may vote, but will not be eligible for any prizes on offer.
11. All winners of voter prizes will be randomly drawn from all qualifying entries on Monday 11 September, 2023. Winners will be notified by telephone and agree to have their names and photographs published.
12. The Sponsor will endeavour to contact the winner/s once every day for 3 consecutive working days after their name is drawn. If the winner/s cannot be contacted during this period, the prize will be forfeited and another winner/s will be selected in accordance with the rules.
13. Winners of the Subscriber Bonus Prizes must hold an active and paid-up subscription to the Daily News at the time of the prize draw.
14. The Winners will be required to provide their names, ID numbers and contact details to sign an acknowledgment of receipt of the prize.
15. The Sponsor will not enter into a written or oral discussion regarding the contest, and all entries become property of the Independent Media Group.
16. Winners in each category will be determined only by the number of votes received.
17. No endorsement by The Sponsor is intended or implied.
